Job Summary:
Moore Afghanistan is seeking experienced and highly motivated Senior Audit Associates to join our Audit and Assurance Department. The Senior Audit Associate will play a key role in leading and executing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to supervise and mentor junior team members while ensuring quality and timely delivery of audit services in line with international standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage audit engagements in compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and firm methodology.

Plan and execute audit procedures, including risk assessment, control evaluation, and substantive testing.

Review and supervise the work of Audit Associates and Trainees, providing guidance and constructive feedback.

Evaluate internal controls, identify control deficiencies, and recommend improvements.

Perform analytical reviews and assess the accuracy of financial statements and disclosures.

Prepare and review audit working papers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards.

Draft audit reports, management letters, and client communications.

Coordinate with clients’ management to resolve audit issues and provide value-added recommendations.

Maintain strong professional relationships with client personnel at various levels.

Contribute to training, mentoring, and development of junior staff.

Ensure adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, and the firm’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
-
Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant audit experience with a reputable audit or accounting firm.

Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).

Actively pursuing or holding a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA (part-qualified or qualified).

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.

Willingness to travel within Afghanistan for field audits.
-
Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto.
Preferred Attributes:

Experience supervising or mentoring junior audit staff.

Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
